‘After my first week of drawing down by the  Euchan Water and around the Merz Bothy, I started thinking of ways to combine the drawings. I went back to the locations to gather more material, in particular, darker drawings and close-ups. I tried mixing up the drawings from both locations and also adding some old drawings I brought with me. So far, I have not decided how they will be combined, but am having fun working out possibilities. I know that, at some point soon, I am going to have to make some decisions. Each decision cancels out others, but also opens up new things.’
