Here are a few examples of paintings I did before 2000.

After graduating from my postgraduate year at Art College in 1986 I continued to paint figuratively for a while. A year in Madrid got me interested in formal gardens. This, in turn, sparked an abstract phase which lasted till 1995. Then I stopped painting for a year to make a 16mm film. After this, I became more figurative again and produced a series of paintings to do with dresses.
